About R&D

The Office of Technology Cooperation was first set up in September 2001. It is consisted of two divisions:1.The Research and Development Division 2.The Career Counseling Division.

The office was originally responsible for research development, international cooperation, industrial-academic cooperation, alumni communications, practicum & career counseling and professional license testing etc.  Later, due to the needs of business merging and job allocations, the whole school development funding and the mid-term & long-term school development planning were included in the job descriptions of our office.  As for the alumni service, practicum & career counseling and professional license testing, they were transferred to the newly-established Career Counseling Office.  Therefore, the office changed its name to “Office of Research and Development”on August 1, 2005. The office than consisted of the Division of Unified Planning, the Division of Industrial-Academic Cooperation, and the Division of International Cooperation.  Later, because of the business overlapping between the Division of International Cooperation and the International Teaching Center of the Academic Affairs Office, our school decided to remove the international cooperation business division from both offices to unify the operation and organize the future development. At the same time, a new office “International Exchange Office” was established on August 1, 2006.  As for Industrial-Academic division, in order to promote the cooperation between our school and factories or companies, and help with project contacts and all kinds of patent rights, our school needs a specific service unit to deal with the external work, thus, the Office of Research and Development set up the“Innovation and Incubation Center”. As a result, the Office of Research and Development consisted of two divisions and one center, which are “the Division of Unified Planning”,“the Division of Industrial-Academic Cooperation”, and “Innovation and Incubation Center”.

The Office of Research and Development prospers under the leadership of all leaders in the office. The growth in quality and quantity can be easily seen.  The goal of our office is to provide the whole school with excellent service to upgrade the academic research environment, so that we can be one of the best in the academic world.
